Subway Tile Kitchen Backsplash in Rockwood

We recently updated a Rockwood kitchen by installing a stylish subway tile backsplash. Chosen for its timeless appeal and ease of maintenance, this popular tile option adds a pristine, contemporary touch to any culinary space.

Materials Used

For this project, we selected high-quality ceramic subway tiles renowned for their long-lasting durability and classic visual appeal. The tiles, featuring a glossy white finish, reflect light beautifully, making the kitchen appear brighter and more welcoming. Each tile measures 3×6 inches, perfect for creating a balanced visual alignment against the kitchen’s dimensions. The choice of ceramic material ensures that the backsplash remains easy to clean and resistant to stains and scratches, qualities every homeowner appreciates.

Design Choices

The subway tiles were arranged in a classic staggered brick pattern, a design choice that is both traditional and visually captivating. To further enhance this arrangement, we selected a contrasting dark gray grout. This not only highlights each individual tile but also contributes to the overall cleanliness of the design, as darker grout tends to show less wear and staining over time. As a final touch, we added a slim border of metallic tiles along the perimeter, catching the light and adding a touch of sophistication to the kitchen’s design.
